Early LifeVictoria Song was born in Qingdao, Shandong. She left home town at very young age to study Chinese Traditional Dance at the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy. [2] After her high school graduation, she was accepted to the Beijing Dance Academy and majored in Chinese ethnic dance. In September 2007, Victoria was spotted by a SM agent at a Beijing dance competition, and later joined the company. f(x)Amber was cast from SM Entertainment's Los Angeles global audition in 2007, where she and one male was selected to be a trainee for SM. After a year of training, she debuted under the new girl group f(x) in September 2009, labeled as "Asia's Pop Dance Group".[1] On September 1, 2009, f(x)'s first single "La Cha Ta"[2] (stylized as "LA chA TA") was digitally released. They debuted on September 2 at their very own showcase event held at the Samseong-dong Fashion Center.[3] The group's first broadcast performance of "La Cha Ta" was held at MBC's music show Show! Early lifeKrystal was born in San Francisco, California, where her family from South Korea settled in the 1980s. During a family trip to South Korea in early 2000 when Krystal was five, she was spotted by talent agency SM Entertainment, which earned her a cameo appearance in Shinhwa's "Wedding March" music video. The agency saw potential in Krystal and offered her singing and dancing lessons, opting to professionally train her in a singing career. However, the offer was turned down by her parents, reasoning that Krystal was too young. Instead, her parents allowed her older sister Jessica Jung to join the agency, who debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in August 2007.
In 2002, Krystal began appearing in television commercials. She first appeared in a Lotte commercial with Korean actress Han Ga-in. In 2006, her parents allowed her to join SM Entertainment, and the agency enrolled her in dance classes, including hip hop and jazz.
Education
She attended an international school, Korea Kent Foreign School, and is currently attending Hanlim Multi Art School, a high school specializing in entertainment and arts.
